Creativity has always been a part of my life. My mother, a creative type, passed down that to me. It is a gift I certainly value, but I did not always know how to best utilize it. 

Being in the real-estate world for over 10 years allowed me to leverage that creativity and turn my passion into my purpose. 

I have planned significant events, done social media marketing, and various other things within the real-estate realm, but it wasn't until I was at a Christmas party I had planned that the lights finally came on.

After 10 years in real estate, I decided to leave the world I knew to take a leap of faith into doing a full-time home staging business and in the middle of a pandemic. 

Talk about scary; how on earth would I make this work with all the furniture stores closed? It was really hard at first but, I was determined to learn this business. I listened to podcasts, read design books to stay with current trends, and watched HGTV a lot. 

It was hard work and but it was a very gratifying experience for me. 

I began working with successful realtors and lenders in the greater Sacramento area. With my gift of creativity and background in real estate, I set myself apart from traditional staging, and it quickly started paying off!

The most rewarding part of any job I do for a client is seeing the results. When the homes I stage get top dollar or the occasional seller who cries when they see how I have transformed their home, that makes it all worth it. 

As a woman-owned and family operated business, at Simply Chic, we want to create an at-home feeling with our designs, and help buyers envision themselves in the space.

Whether staging a house to sell or decorating a client's home to enjoy, my purpose is to provide a sense of fulfillment to those who step into the created space by adding their story and personal touch.
